Mp3 ipod???

i have lost my 1st generation ipod mini

big woop it is outdated greatly.

I do not like ipod to much since it is extremely expensive

I do have a mac which i love, so heres my problem

i want an mp3 player.. cheaper and good. but hey wont run on itunes so i would have to use my brothers computer or the family computer

i have narrowed my choices down to the

ipod touch

samsung yepp p2

iriver clix

i like the use of internet on the touch ,.. but it seems overrated

i like the bluetooth and radio on the yepp but not as smooth as the touch

the clix is definately my loweest choice

1.which mp3/ipod do you thiink i shouild get

2. For the bluetooth, can i listen to my music over a bluetooth headset to get rid of the mess of wires

3. For the bluetooth, can i hook my phone up to the mp3 player and have it double as my phone

please help.. i can afford all of them, but it is more of what is more worth the money

thank you for reading and helping me in my research

god bless !

IPOD NANO 30GB

Mp3 ipod???myspaces-com myspace.comget a zune it puts your itunes onto your zune window thing idk what to call it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it converts it into the zune software so you can watch/listen to it on your zune!!!!! Report It

ipod touch and the screen of it is scratchproof
1. Thats up to you. It is a good idea to do your research and get an idea of what each one can do but in the end its your choice.

2. Yep, the yepp's bluetooth profile will support stereo headphones.

3. You can't use it as your phone but you can do alot of similar things. You can use it as a go between and answer calls through your phone and dial your phone.
1) Ok. Well it seems from what youve said in your question that you like the ipod touch the best.

I have an ipod touch and i must say the wi-fi is overrated. It really isnt all its cracked up to be, but Im not big of wifi to begin with. Forgetting that, the controls are awesome and I wouldnt change a thing about it. It really just works well and its really awesome. But $300-400 is pricey and im not sure its worth it for everybody.

And although the wi-fi is not the best, it is certainly a better option then the bluetooth.

2) It seems to me that you can use a set of bluetooth headphones with the P2

3) My understanding of the P2 is that you can connect your phone to it via the bluetooth, but im not quite sure how that works.

If you can afford the ipod touch I felt it was worth the money. I got mine a few weeks ago and love it. Granted, the P2 is cheaper and im not completely sure of its features; but the ipod touch was my choice. I love apple products, and i think for most people they are user-friedly and overall enjoyable products.

Hope i helped a little. =)

MP3 to .WAV conversion?

have an .MP3 file. I was wondering, if I convert it back to .wav, can I get the ORIGINAL .wav recording back? And I don鈥檛 have the original .wav recording. The reason why I鈥檓 asking this is, although when MP3 is converted to .wav, the file size increases, but can we get back the data that is chopped off in MP3 compression (from the original .wav)??

I need to convert my MP3 file to a lossless file format.

You can decode the MP3 to WAV but you will not experience any imporvement in quality whatsoever.

You can't create what doesn't exist. Data was permanently lost while encoding it to preserve space. The only way you'll be able to obtain a good quality recording is directly from source.

What you'd end up with is a lossless copy of a lossy file.

MP3 to .WAV conversion?myspace commentes myspace.com

you can use creative meadia converter
I don't think so. An mp3 is far more compressed than a WAV, turning it into a WAV file won't give you restored resolution any more than melting an ice cube in a gallon container will fill it full. Sorry!
yah... creative is the best way to go... but i think that windows media will do the converting for you... the quality will be the same as a mp3 though... mp3 gets rid of the sounds that people cant here... than compresses the file... its like writing a sentence and making all the words misspelt to make it shouter:

this is a sample to explain the process of compression

tis is a sampl to expln the proces of cmpresion

see how the second takes less space than the first... but it makes it sound a litter worse than normal... so converting to lossless wont make any difference... besides making the file bigger... compression doesnt lower the quality...
because mp3 is a perceptual codec (it is not lossless) converting back to .wav will not bring the audio back yo the way it was originally.
No. That data is thrown away in the conversion process. It's gone. No way to get it back. You can still however convert it back to it's original format.
Once a file is compressed into a new format parts of it are discarded. The best digital audio is .cda which is uncompressed audio put on an original CD. Convert that to MP3 and a 10 megabyte per minute audio file becomes a 1 megabyte file per minute file. So you can see a lot is lost, but the human ear is not a good sound resolver so the lost frequencies do not change the music very much. A CD can hold perhaps 25 songs, a MP3 CD can hold up to 300 songs. The Apple IPod uses MP3 and is the favorite of millions of music lovers.

Which MP3 Player (or ipod?) will suit me best?

Hi there!

I going to buy a MP3 player and I fancy either the 2 or 4 Gb ipod nano. Lucky money is not a big limiting factor so which MP3 player should I get?

Here are my requirements:

I'm off skiing soon and I what to use the MP3 during the holiday;

I own about 100 + CDs;

And I can be a bit rough on things as I鈥檒l mountain bike etc whilst using this Mp3?

All advice welcome: 4GB ipod nano is my preference at the moment, also where is a good source to buy from, Amazon?

Thank you %26amp; Cheers...

Which MP3 Player (or ipod?) will suit me best?school myspace

when the ipod nano first came out a lot of people complained it snapped in half so if you were a moutin biker who is quite rouch i ould suggest something quite small that i want , i would suggest the creative zen v plus ,it costs the same as ipod nano really small and looks good plulays radio and video that nano doesn't and all the things nano has that is for the 4gb so i suggest get the creative zen v plus.. for more details go on creative.com and zen v plus its so much better than the ipod plus their is no rubbish like putting it into itunes just drag it into the removable disk on my computer and also has calender alarm etc get the v plus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which MP3 Player (or ipod?) will suit me best? myspace.com

Ipod 4 GB would be perfect...just get the hard clear case...(you can get the case from Target, Walmart...anywhere basically) if you fall when you are mountain biking or skiing it will be fine because the case will protect you..i have a ipod and it works amazingly....
I think the Nano is the best choice if you do not want your entire catalog on your player. Also, you have to consider the fact that hard-drive based mp3 players will sometimes not work above 10,000 feet, so going with a flash player like the Nano will eliminate that inconvenience. It's small and durable, and you can purchase cases that will protect it quite well.

However, if you want your entire catalog on the player, the Nano will not work. There simply isn't enough storage. In that case, a 30 gb iPod would suit you just fine, but if you're going above 10,000 feet, it won't work. I know from experience having tried to use my iPod while mountain climbing in Colorado. If you're concerned about durability, Otterbox makes a great case that will protect your iPod in any condition.

Also, keep in mind that, if you want stereo on your player, the Apple line isn't the best choice. They do now sell a separate tuner that you can plug in-line to the player and pick up stereo, but it's not built in, so if there's ever a case where you want to pick up local radio and not listen to your CD's, you have to buy that extra accessory for the Apple line.

Amazon is a good merchant.
IPod's a good choice, u can also try a creative Zen, or search for one which is resistant to falling/water.

PC and MP3 USB Port problems.?

When I connect the MP3 player into the USB port on the computer, the computer can't seem to pick it up. The MP3 player shows that it is connected because it says "USB CONNECTED"

When I go into device manager it shows that it's there but for some reason WMP is not picking it up. All I want to do is put music on my MP3 player but my computer can't seem to pick it up.

I have tried all three USB ports on the computer and they all result in the same. When I first bought the MP3 player it worked fine but all of a sudden it does not want to work.

I try to put songs on my MP3 player but WMP says there is no device connected. Any help would be great.

PC and MP3 USB Port problems.?myspace graphics

When you plug it in, there will be a new drive in My Computer.

Just copy and paste your music files onto that drive.

PC and MP3 USB Port problems.?real world myspace myspace.com

connect it and go into control panel click and new hadware then click add new hadware and follow the instructions
If you have an Ipod that could be one of the reasons, WMP is picky towards those. You said it worked fine, so I'm thinking maybe either some settings changed, or you might need to update the drivers. Sometimes the company has software to manage the MP3 players and they work a lot better, so try going to the website and downloading their software or a new update for the device if there's any, also try the microsoft knowledge base, at www.microsoft.com in case other people had the same issue, and maybe find a solution.

Good luck!

Quality question! MP3 to CD, Back To MP3?

I have a bunch of mp3s i ripped with a bitrate of 360, and i want them down to 128 for storge reasons, i want more to fit on my mp3 player

the method im using is:

burn mp3s to vital drive

%26amp; repripping them in WMP!

the resulting mp3 is now 128!

im not so much bothered about the quailty change between 360 and 128... what i wanna know is does this precess MP3%26gt;CD%26gt;MP3 degrade the quality even more? more so them ripping direct from the original CD to 128 mp3s!

thanks in advance

Quality question! MP3 to CD, Back To MP3?layouts for myspace

Theoretically, since MP3's are a "lossy" compression method. MP3%26gt;CD%26gt;MP3 should degrade the quality more than ripping direct from the origial CD to 128. However, I'd try both methods on one or two tracks and see if I could tell the difference. If I couldn't, then I'd use whatever method was easier.

MP3 Help!!!Please Help!!??????

P.s. This might help but i have two computers one is Windows Vista and the other is Windows XP 2000

MP3 Help!!!Please Help!!??????myspace names

You can do it very easily with Windows Media Player. I have never used Vista, but I assume that WMP is very similar in the two operating systems. But at least in XP, I can tell you how to do it. So first, you have to know what folder your music is located in. By default, WMP scans the My Music folder for audio files, so if your music is somewhere else, you should either move it, or be sure you know what folder it's in. Then, with your mp3 player connected to your PC, open Windows Media Player. It should recognize your player instantly and ask you to name it if you haven't already. Then, click the arrow that appears beneath the Library tab and select Add to Library from the menu. It will come up with a window that will scan your default folder for audio files. Make sure the correct folder with your music in it is selected, and then let it scan. Once all your music in is your media library, if you just want everything in it on your player, go to the Sync tab and hit the Start Sync button that appears in the bottom right corner of WMP. If you only want certain things to sync, right click on your mp3 player in the far left hand column of WMP and select Set Up Sync from the menu. A window will come up with two panes that will allow you to add or remove items from the sync list. Once that is all set, just hit that Start Sync button. And that's all you have to do. Many players also allow you to simply drag and drop content to the player if you don't want to sync it. To do this, open the player in My Computer and open the folder with your music and just drag and drop the files to your player. Hope that helps.

Please be more specific, do you want to download it into your mp3 player or into a mp3 player program?

If you want to download it into an mp3 player and it doesn;t come with a software, you can try connecting your player to your pc, Open My Computer and Browse through the "Removable Storage Devices. Check the mp3 player directory and drag and drop the files there. SAfely Remove and check it out!

ipod. i have one and they are awesome. or creative. :]]
dont get at wal-mart.........................
That is very tiny and it has 2gbs... not bad if you dont have a long list of music.

Not all free music give you virus, its just a myth to scare people, only videos and files gives you virus..

I been downloading music for 6 years and i never got a virus.

When you pay for music is usually $0.99 per song...

requires a credit card or you go to the store to get a music card.

Most need a headphone to listen to music.

99% of the mp3 players come with a charger.
