It depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for memory, go with an ipod (probably an early version with 8 gigs for about $100. If you are lookin for cheap try the 2 gig sansa m50 (i think it is in the m-series but i cant be sure which model it is) they cost about 40-60dollars.

2 gig=500 songs

8 gig=2000songs

mp3is the better way in my oppinion......the ZUNE so far is the one i found to be the best....i dont like i-pods b/c they dont hold as much music as they say they do and you have to have different things downloaded to ur pc and also it your usb port isnt bigg enough then u have to take the comp to repair shope an upgrade.........i-pods are nice dont get me wrong but i dont want to spend alot of money for one then have to spend even more just to use it....lol...also what the 1st answer saidabout so many gigs= so many songs is completele wrong b/c how many songs depends on how big the song file is.......i mean everysong in the world doesnt have the same time down to the very second
